Nakajima Ki-27 "Nate"

The Nate is an unusual WWII model. It was a first line fighter in the early part of the war. The Nate would be a great first time warbird as the plane did not have retracts. It does have flaps. The plane is of conventional wood construction. The fuselage and all flying surfaces are fully sheeted. While the Nate is recommended for builders who have done a fair amount of building, it is no more difficult to build than a PT-17 or a PT-19. Plans are shipped rolled with some building notes.
